Who am I?
STATISTICIAN | DATA SCIENTIST | LIFETIME LEARNER
From a young age, I have been fascinated by mathematics, science, and history. Although I once dreamed of becoming a professional handball player, it was during my university studies that my passion for data truly emerged. Enrolling in an Actuarial Science program allowed me to build a strong foundation in statistics, data analysis, and quantitative reasoning.
Over time, I transitioned from an Actuarial Intern to a Data Analyst in Kenya’s telecommunications sector, before moving to Sweden to pursue a Master’s degree in Statistical Modeling and Data Science at Örebro University. As part of the EMOS (European Master in Official Statistics) track, I worked with labor force surveys, satellite data, and small-area estimation models. I also contributed to projects at Statistics Sweden and represented Sweden at the European Big Data Hackathon, gaining valuable experience in geospatial analytics, statistical modeling, and data-driven policy-making.
Having completed my graduate studies, I am more convinced than ever of the power of data to inform meaningful decisions. I look forward to applying my skills to complex challenges and continuing to grow as a purpose-driven data scientist.
